​​With Michael’s knowledge of investigative services, CIS expanded the background screening suite of solutions, broadening the CIS reach into additional industries. Michael’s technology proficiency has further solidified the success CIS has in being first-to-market for new product offerings and responsive to increasing compliance requirements. Michael is a graduate of Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen Scotland, where he resided before coming to the United States.

Michael is actively involved with the National Consumer Reporting Association (NCRA), the premier trade association for consumer reporting agencies in the United States.  Michael served in several NCRA positions, including President, Vice President and Treasurer. Michael has also served on the board of the Chicago chapter of GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome achievement center headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

​Michael joined CIS in 2014 with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to CIS, Michael was the General Manager of both the Mortgage Credit Reporting and Financial Investigative Services divisions of NCO. Michael led initiatives to launch product-lines that grew revenue, addressed client needs and strengthened due diligence. 

​​Nancy has nearly three decades of experience in consumer reporting.  Under Nancy’s leadership, CIS grew from a regional company into a national leader in the consumer reporting industry. Nancy joined CIS in 1989 as an entry level credit interviewer, where her industry aptitude and leadership abilities were quickly recognized through several promotions. Nancy became CIS Vice President in 1997, President in 1999, and CEO in August 2001. She continued as CEO until the end of 2016, and is currently active as an advisor and company partner.

CIS is an independently owned, national Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) with corporate headquarters in Allamuchy, NJ. Founded in 1986, CIS has grown to be one of the leading independent CRAs in the United States. In 2001, CIS opened a production center in Portland, OR. CIS opened an additional production center in Baltimore, MD in 2006 and a regional sales office in Chicago, IL in 2014. 


The CIS client-base grew to include all 50 states through Nancy’s commitment to industry-leading customer service, launching first-to-market products, technology enhancements and a relentless commitment to delivering solutions that help clients be successful.  Nancy was a founding member of NCRA, and was recognized for her leadership, commitment to the industry, and as the longest serving board member in NCRA history in 2014.

Nancy was a board member of the local chapter for Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center for 5 years and served 2 years as Treasurer. Nancy volunteers with Helping Horseshoes, an organization that enriches the lives of special needs children through interaction with horses and teaching horse-back riding. Nancy also was an active member in Vistage for 10 years, an organization that mentors executives and helps them grow through networking and strategy development. Nancy has served on the board of the United Way of Northern New Jersey.  Under Nancy's leadership, CIS celebrated 30 years in business in 2016.
